We advise anyone who happens to be going to the world's biggest watch fair to add a visit to the Patek Philippe store to their agenda, where the penultimate floor displays a collection of 82 unique pieces made in tribute to the house's craftsmen. This exhibition, which has been in preparation for the last three years, will be on show in Geneva until April 27, and will then move to the brand's flagship store in London from June 7 to 16.
The creations on display include the use of miniature marquetry, the ‘Gemsetting’ known as the setting of precious stones, 'Guilloché' and Enameling techniques, ending with the delicate art of Engraving, all ancient techniques of human control that result in unprecedented examples of watchmaking.
The exhibition also shows artisans working in different techniques on site, and the presentation with displays created according to themes that are, to say the least, dazzling for any connoisseur of the beautiful and very special.
