It is a house that appears as an enclave in the landscape, where several trees were preserved and planted during the construction, aiming to capture the ambiance of the environment.

The project, signed by the Israeli practice Golany Architects, separated the living and private areas into two floors - the living areas on the ground level, that are continued by the garden, and the bedrooms and family room, adjoined with a pergola covered terrace, on the first floor.

Sustainability and privacy are also key elements in this residence: “the shutter lattices block views inwards, while allowing one to enjoy the scenery from the inside and the large windows and doors are recessed from the shutters' outer façade. The double-skin envelope significantly improves the climate control of the house and thus, despite the heavy heat, typical to this region of the Jordan Valley slopes“, explained the architects.

When the doors are opened to us, we find a residence defined by the desire to embrace and engage with the landscape. The yellowish-brown atmosphere, surrounded by Olive and Carob groves, becomes the perfect place for a horse ride or watching the sunset over the Sea of Galilee.
